Family-friendly Instant Pot Recipes for Kids: Instant Pot Caesar Chicken Wraps
Enjoy this quick and easy Caesar Chicken Wraps with your family! This recipe could not be easier–especially if you use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken or leftover grilled chicken. It’s so good! The crunch of the lettuce and the croutons worked so well with the herb wraps and the creamy Caesar dressing. And of course, parmesan cheese!
Ingredients for Instant Pot Ceasar Chicken Wraps:
- 4 large chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons garlic
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
- 1 bundle romaine lettuce (about 4 to 5 cups)
- 1 cup croutons
- 6 spinach herb wraps
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup caesar dressing; more if needed
Directions:
- In the instant pot add the chicken and top with lemon juice and garlic. Spread the garlic around over the chicken. Add your choice of water or broth. Set to high pressure for 25 minutes. Quick release pressure when the instant pot stops counting.
- In a large bowl, add chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and parmesan. Toss well. Add chopped cooked chicken and caesar dressing. Toss well.
- Place mixture from the bowl into the wrap and wrap up. Cut the wrap in half and serve.
To have a more filling dish, you can add bacon considering it is usually in a Caesar salad. Also, I used large boneless skinless breasts and thick cuts so it took me a little bit longer to prepare this.
If you are using thin frozen chicken or leftovers, it could be less time. I also love using rotisserie chicken when I’m in a huge rush, it’s already prepared and so good. Anything that can save this momma time so I can manage my large family and our chaotic schedule is at the top of my list!
