Our family loves milkshakes; there’s just something delicious about these creamy drinks. There’s Nothing more satisfying than an orange creamsicle on a warm day. You should definitely try this amazing dessert.
Orange Creamsicle Milkshake
Do you remember those creamsicle childhood treats? Take a trip down memory lane with this creamy and dreamy tropical beverage. With only 3 to 5 ingredients, it will only take you about 5 to 10 minutes to prepare. This recipe serves two people. I have a big family, so I have to make 4-5 batches of this milkshake. But it is so yummy it’s definitely worth the effort.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Vanilla Ice-cream
- 1 cup of Orange Sorbet/Sherbet (or ½ cup of Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate)
- ½ cup of Whole Milk or Half and Half for a richer taste
- ¼ cup of Whipped Topping like Cool Whip (optional)
- Sprinkles, Orange Sanding Sugar or Maraschino Cherries to garnish (optional)
Combine it in the blender and let the magic happen. This refreshing, creamy treat will let you indulge yourself with the classic yet balanced flavors of orange and vanilla. Yum!
Directions
- In a blender, combine ice cream, orange sorbet/sherbet, and the milk.
- Blend together at high speed until smooth.
- Pour the orange creamsicle milkshake in two glasses.
- Top each glass with a couple of tablespoons of whipped topping (optional)
- Decorate with orange sanding sugar (optional).
Be creative with the garnish. I usually let my kids put any toppings they like. I must say, it’s totally worth the brain freeze.

Notes
If using Frozen Orange juice instead of Orange Sorbet or Sherbet, the color wouldn’t a vibrant
orange. You can add 5 drops of yellow and 2 drops of red food color to get the desired color. This is totally optional.
